Kristyn Pye, APRN

Kristyn Pye is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from Florida State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Childhood Development. She began her career as a nurse in 2007 at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in the Emergency Department. After 5 years in the Pediatric ED, she returned to school in pursuit of her Master of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University.  While continuing to work in the Pediatric ED she completed her MSN in 2013. She practiced locally as an APRN after graduating, prior to joining the Carithers Pediatric Group in December 2021. Kristyn is also a FSU adjunct clinical professor for upcoming BSN graduates in their pediatric rotation. She continues with her clinical teaching role, in the hopes of igniting the same passion she has for pediatric care in future nurses.

She loves the primary care setting; because of the ongoing opportunities it gives providers to foster trusting relationships with patients and parents. As well as a partnership with parents working towards a common goal, a healthy and happy future for their child. Her interests include preventative care for all ages, parent education, female adolescent health, and travel medicine.

Kristyn lives with her husband, who continues to work as a nurse in the Pediatric ED, where they met. Kristyn cherishes quality time with her husband and three children. Kristyn is active in her church, and loves volunteering in the children’s ministry.
