Anne Egan M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Anne Egan

Dr. Egan joined The Carithers Pediatric Group in October 2003. She grew up in Jacksonville, Connecticut, and Hong Kong. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate education and Yale University School of Medicine for her medical education. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and was board certified in pediatrics in 1995.
 
Before moving to Jacksonville, Dr. Egan practiced for eight years with Allegheny Pediatrics in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. She also served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
 
Dr. Egan currently serves on the boards of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the University of North Florida, and the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. In the past, she has served on the board of the Jacksonville Children’s Commission, JCCI, and PACE Center for Girls in addition to non-profit boards outside of Jacksonville. She has also been on the Management Teams of the Jacksonville’s Children: 1-2-3 Inquiry and Jacksonville’s Mental Health Inquiry.

Dr. Egan lives with her husband, George in Ortega where they are active in their church and community service. Dr. Egan’s areas of special interest include nutrition and behavior issues.
