Indefinitely suspended due to the safety concerns with the Coronavirus.
In an effort to better serve our established patients when acute/overnight illnesses occur, The Carithers Pediatric Group will be offering walk-in hours on Mondays and Fridays beginning January 7th, 2019. This service will be provided by our nurse practitioners and physician assistants (providers may not be requested). Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Our goal is to provide efficient care for those “middle of the night” illnesses when you need it!
Our walk-in hours will be from 8:00 AM- 8:45 AM at both office locations. Patients who arrive after these hours will be asked to schedule an appointment in the next available slot that day.
It is important to note that walk-in hours are not intended for chronic illness, on-going symptoms, or young infants (those under 6 months old), as those appointments require more time for evaluation and discussion. Thus, we will be limiting the walk-in clinic to the following complaints:
* Cold symptoms
* Ear pain
* Eye redness
* Sore throats
* Sprains and strains
Any other concerns will need to be scheduled through our triage nurses. If you feel your child needs to be seen and you missed walk-in hours, please call our triage line to speak with one of our nurses to help schedule your child. Also keep in mind that certain times may be busier than others, so please be patient as we make this transition into our practice.
We sincerely hope our new walk-in hours will give you peace of mind in time of illness. We will continue to strive to meet the healthcare needs of our patients and families, and we appreciate your feedback.
